"Having never been to the races, anywhere, this was a total first.
Picked up from your hotel in a private taxi and taken to the race
course, which is just about in the centre of a major city. An hours
drive through the most amazing scenery, to be met at the track by
Jacques.
A warm, friendly and very courteous gentleman, Jacques escorted us
through the interior of the recourse. Showing us the area for putting on
bets, the paddock area etc.
We were shown to the VIP box. This is the only box for foreign visitors
is on the start and finish straight, over looks the finish line.
Jacques and all his staff are wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble.
The bar is open through out your stay and you receive the full VIP
treatment, total pampering.
Food and drink is brought to you by the ladies working in the VIP box.
Food is almost a constant buffet of sandwiches, canapes etc.
The high light of the food is Jacques presentation of Mauritian wraps,
they are the most wonderful taste sensation and vegetarian so everyone
can enjoy them.
I cant say it was a financial success for us, but what an amazing day.
This excursion is not the cheapest you will go on, but it worth every
rupee/euro you pay. The experience will last a life time. If there is a
downside to this trip, gents have to dress smart chic and wear full
shoes. But I think every man there with us would say its a small price
to pay for such a wonderful day.
Would I go back? In a heartbeat
