EYE CATCHERS FROM THIS MORNING'S TRAINING (11TH AUGUST)
Mauritius woke up this Friday 11th August, in a less warm day and with some wind blowing because of an anticyclone but the braves are on their saddles! At dawn, all the jocekys were present for the training session. The following horses impressed this morning : Noah's Ark, Redwood Valley, Ernie (excellent condition), Charles Lytton, Forward Drive, Jama, Winter is Coming, The Deacon, Victory Team, Social Network, Street Boy, Glen Coco (plenty of stamina), The Tripster, Mootahadee, Entrée...

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY ...
My wife and I went back for another visit to The Crown Lodge as we so enjoyed the first time. I think we enjoyed this time even more as we were treated to a special treat - riding in a car that kept up with the horses as they raced around the track. We were close enough to hear the jockeys shouting at each other and it really felt as though we were part of the race. A great experience. I don't know quite why Jacques chose us for this signal honour - perhaps because we had been before? - but whatever the reason, it added a special something to what was already a great day of racing, generous hospitality and a sense that you are sharing in something truly Mauritian. Highly recommended. (July visit - Trip Advisor)
