I cannot recommend this highly enough. My partner is a big horse racing
fan so we had to experience this racecourse for his milestone birthday.
Jacques and his team pulled out all the stops to make it a day to
remember and I thank them so much for everything. My partner has not
stopped talking about it ever since!! Wonderful atmosphere - the
Mauritians LOVE horse racing. Excellent service all day - the wine
flowed and the hot food was amazing. We had a great day in lovely

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY ABOUT US
From UK Guests : Garry and Deborah : From being picked up from our hotel by a very nice young man, to meeting Joanne at the track and all of Jacques team, we felt like celebrities. What an amazing day, champagne and all other drinks on tap, homemade Mauritian food served all day. The best land excursion, in a private box overlooking the winning line, the paddock area to look at the horses and also being able to put bets on in the private box. If you have the chance to go it's a must, worth every rupee. Thank you Jacques and all your team again for a great day out we will always remember.
From Kerry M : Had a great day at the races. Jacques and his staff are lovely, friendly & nothing is too much for them. Our glasses were never empty & the homemade snacks were lovely. We got to visit the commentators area, the paddock and watched a race from track side. All in all a great day out.

Trip advisor review: "Most interesting things to do in Mauritius the horse racing adventure in
the capital is amazing.we were there for the air Mauritius maiden cup
which was on 3rd of September we had a great time there. The crowd was
amazing the horses 🐴 oh my god just unexplainable wonderful race 🏁 we
had the most memorable day".
A vivre !
EYE CATCHERS FROM THIS MORNING'S TRAINING (11TH AUGUST)
Mauritius woke up this Friday 11th August, in a less warm day and with some wind blowing because of an anticyclone but the braves are on their saddles! At dawn, all the jocekys were present for the training session. The following horses impressed this morning : Noah's Ark, Redwood Valley, Ernie (excellent condition), Charles Lytton, Forward Drive, Jama, Winter is Coming, The Deacon, Victory Team, Social Network, Street Boy, Glen Coco (plenty of stamina), The Tripster, Mootahadee, Entrée...

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY ...
My wife and I went back for another visit to The Crown Lodge as we so enjoyed the first time. I think we enjoyed this time even more as we were treated to a special treat - riding in a car that kept up with the horses as they raced around the track. We were close enough to hear the jockeys shouting at each other and it really felt as though we were part of the race. A great experience. I don't know quite why Jacques chose us for this signal honour - perhaps because we had been before? - but whatever the reason, it added a special something to what was already a great day of racing, generous hospitality and a sense that you are sharing in something truly Mauritian. Highly recommended. (July visit - Trip Advisor)
